Retooling a Business Web Site
We helped build this web site back when the business was known as The Farm Shop Inc. When the company changed its name to Premier Fabrication, Inc. to better reflect its business and products, the folks there asked us to redesign their web site, which we were pleased to do. One of the great things about building web sites for businesses is learning about what other people do. After working on Premier Fabrication's web site, we feel they must have a lot of fun at their jobs. From laser and plasma/torch cutting, to ornamental fencing, and structural steel projects, they get to work on some neat projects.
For those of you interested in the technical details, the redesigned web site features an expandable layout with dynamic, drop-down navigation. The site is standards-based, using CSS for layout, XHTML for coding and PHP templating. AJAX scripting showcases photographs of jobs done by Premier Fabrication's commercial structural steel division. The industrial nature of the job is noted in the red, steel plating in the sidebar. Breadcrumb navigation helps site visitors know exactly where they are on the web site. Testimonials show how pleased Premier Fabrication's customers are with their work. Photos highlight and visualize the type of work done by Premier Fabrication.
