“During my time as President of IAGLR, we decided to embark on a major overhaul of our web site. After a competitive search, we selected Loracs Creations Inc. as our web design and support team. It was probably the best decision I had a part in making during my time as an IAGLR officer. IAGLR now has a state-of-the-art web site for a professional society. IAGLR's web site has become a crucial part of our organization. It is the primary portal for communication between the Association and its members. Since its inception IAGLR's main activities have been to run an annual scientific conference and to publish a top-rated scientific journal. Today IAGLR members and non-members alike can readily learn about and even register for the conference using our website, and electronic journal subscribers have access to our complete collection. Recently we completed the development of a "membersweb" area and an integrated online membership renewal process. The membersweb area is a great addition — with a few clicks members can now access and edit information in their membership file, browse a member directory, and quickly access conference and journal areas of the web site. I'm sure this new area will be very popular with our members, particularly as we continue to add more features like expedited conference abstract submission or quick membership renewal options.
